Happy Friday

So, I may be coming down with something  :(  my poor snot has been trying to run away all day.  I really hope that's the extent of it!  A lot of people have been telling me to hope I don't get "the cough"... apparently the start of "the cough" is the start of a nasty yuck that's been going around.

But, in happier news, Yobo actually joined me & the Moose for Mother Goose Rhyme time at the library today!  He normally goes to the library with us, but then trolls the library shelves while we go to story (or now rhyme) time.  And guess what?  He totally enjoyed himself.  Wait for it... Duh!  The Moose is getting more active & outgoing while we're there now - she crawls a little further away and "investigates" some of the other babes.  I don't really mind if he doesn't go, but I also don't want him to miss out on the amazing interactive happenings of that 20 minutes in a room full of other little people!

We went grocery shopping afterwards and while we were in the baking aisle, a lovely woman smiled at the Moose & said something about her wonderful hat - I almost hugged her!  I thanked her & told her it was the first hat I'd ever made and she said "What?!  You MADE that?" followed by some wonderful adjective and words about how adorable the Moose was in it.  I was, and am still, BEAMING with love and joy and a bit of pride  :)

And THEN we get home and Yobo shares a post about crunchy chicken stuffed waffle pops - don't they look and sound AMAZING?!  We're totally going to try making them for dinner tomorrow night!  Plus, we picked up an ice cream on the cheap and will be trying our hand at homemade vanilla ice cream to top off our chicken stuffed waffle dinner  :)  Yobo has a lush stash of whole Madagascar vanilla beans.  Yum-yum!  Oh, that reminds me that one day I will need to post about our wedding cake - homemade (by Yobo) chocolate cake with a vanilla bean creme filled heart in the center of the top layer.  It was even topped with the Care Bears from our first shared birthday cake (there were 2 - one for each of us).  Whenever I write about that, I'll also have to bring up the shared birthday thing.

Anyhoo, tomorrow is my 2nd day of class  :)   And there's gonna be a quiz!  I actually got all my homework done & feel pretty good about it.  The only thing I have to really remember is to SLOW DOWN.  Yobo says this should become my mantra in life and is, begrudgingly, right about that.  If I can just breathe and not rush through it, it'll be ALL good  :)
