My first ever block is DONE!!!!!!!!!!

Ode to the Orange Asterisk

Oh orange asterisk block,
it took many a trial and err
before you took your current GLORIOUS shape.
one can barely notice
where your seams were sewn together,
then callously ripped apart, and, once again,
sewn together, and then sometimes,
ripped apart and sewn together AGAIN!
Oh orange asterisk block,
you are still not done,
not until I cut you into 
a twelve-and-a-half-inch square.
