Double Boo-yah!

I got a 102 on my first test in class :)  Thank you, thank you.  With extra credit, there was a possible 108.  I'm still a little irked at the teacher though as I am now beginning to think that this class may be going at too slow a speed to effectively prepare me for algebra next year.  Also, dude lost my test!  At least he graded it before it was lost & grades were posted online.  I don't think many other people did too well on the test; when I asked around I got a lot of "meh" or "well, I did better than I thought I would" answers.  Too bad for them, but at least I rocked it!  Boo-yah #1.

The other day I read a lovely blog post talking about how sometimes if you say what you need out loud, put it out into the universe, you will be answered.  I mentioned this to Yobo the other day and he says something along the lines of it being complete & utter crap and that I should know better LOL  Last night, he says "we really need to get some fish for the kid, preferably some salmon."  As non-fishers, this would mean buying it in a store - something I have never actually done... It's Fat Tuesday & we had a lunch-time party to celebrate.  It was SPECTACULAR!  So much good food; I totally went for a nice long stroll out in the elements after partaking in such gluttony.  BUT, the COOLEST part was that someone brought a whole lot of salmon filets, more than we needed, and he totally said "of course you can take one home for the kid!"  At the end of the day, when I was gathering my things to leave, I grabbed my fish bag out of the freezer and there were FOUR filets in it!  And THEN Ms. K, who was delivered some fish from a friend that morning, stopped me on the way out the door and gave me one of HER filets.  See?!  Request heard and answered in full.  Boo-yah #2.  I don't even care that it's a fallible argument; we got what we asked for and that's good enough for me  :)

And, actually, now thinking about it more, I don't see why he wouldn't believe.  He's way into reality is merely a mass of agreed upon individual perceptions (society) and this kind of fits into that theory.  If reality is what you will it to be, by stating out loud that we needed fish, we did, in fact, will it into being.  Nice.
